Scientific publications are essential for advancing treatment and care. However, they are often written for clinicians and researchers and can be difficult for patients and families to interpret. By translating complex research into clear and accessible language, SPAGN aims to help bridge this gap and support the community in better understanding current approaches to desmoid tumor management.

To support this goal, SPAGN has developed a lay-friendly summary of the scientific article “Current Management of Desmoid Tumors: A Review,” published in JAMA Oncology in June 2024.

The summary translates key findings and recommendations from international experts into patient-friendly language, helping patients, families, and advocates better understand how desmoid tumors are currently managed.
