Why attend ⁉️

The SPAGN Annual Conference brings together patient advocates from around the world to share experiences, exchange ideas, and explore new approaches in sarcoma advocacy. Over three days, participants can:

  • 🔬 Discover recent developments in sarcoma research and care

  • 🤝 Take part in practical sessions that strengthen advocacy efforts

  • 🌐 Meet and collaborate with fellow advocates from different countries

  • 🛠️ Participate in interactive workshops, discussions, and networking opportunities

Together, we aim to spark new collaborations, inspire creative solutions, and grow the collective impact of our global community.

📄 First Look: Draft Programme Preview
We are pleased to share a first preview of the draft programme for the SPAGN Annual Conference 2026.

🛠️ While the agenda is still being refined and may evolve, this early overview offers an exciting glimpse of what is currently planned — including key themes, session formats, and opportunities for exchange across advocacy, research, and capacity building.

We would like to thank everyone who shared feedback and reflections during and following last year’s conference. Your input has played an important role in shaping this first draft and helps ensure the programme responds to the priorities, needs, and interests of SPAGN’s global advocacy community.
🏆 Spotlight on Advocacy: Awards 2026

The Advocacy in Action Award recognizes initiatives across all sarcoma types excluding bone sarcomas (see award below for that) that are completed or currently underway and have demonstrable results in advocacy. Whether your project is big or small, if it has made a real difference, it could be acknowledged.

The Paola Gonzato Memory Award focuses on bone sarcoma advocacy, highlighting projects that have tangible impact on care or quality of life.
Submissions must come from regional or national SPAGN members, be evidence-based, and already completed.
Wondering what the SPAGN community was up to last year? 👀

The 15th SPAGN Annual Conference, held April 11–13, 2025 in Washington, D.C., marked an important moment for our network as our first Annual Conference outside Europe.

The meeting brought together 130 sarcoma patient advocates, experts, and partners from over 30 countries, creating space for exchange, learning, and stronger global collaboration in sarcoma advocacy.
