πŸ“… SPAGN Annual Conference 2026 – Save the Date!

We are delighted to confirm that the SPAGN Annual Conference 2026 will take place from May 1–3, 2026, at the Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden.

With 71 member organizations across all continents, the SPAGN Annual Conference remains the key international meeting for sarcoma patient advocates. Over three days, participants will engage in sessions on medical and research updates, advocacy capacity building, and international collaboration β€” all designed to strengthen our global community.

πŸ† Advocacy in Action Award & Paola Gonzato Memory Awards 2026

Following the launch of this year’s call to action, we invite all member organizations to take part in the Advocacy in Action Award (AIAA) and the Paola Gonzato Memory Award β€” two initiatives that spotlight outstanding advocacy achievements within the sarcoma community.

About the Advocacy in Action Award

All SPAGN member organizations are eligible to apply. Projects must be:

  • Sarcoma-specific (STS, Bone, GIST, Desmoid, or Chordoma)

  • Completed or ongoing (not in planning)

  • Focused on measurable advocacy impact.

1st Prize – €2,000 | 2nd Prize – €1,500 | 3rd Prize – €1,000

About the Paola Gonzato Memory Award

This special award celebrates advocacy excellence in bone sarcomas.

Eligible projects must be:

  • Submitted by regional or national SPAGN member organizations

  • Completed, evidence-based, and advocacy-driven

  • Focused on tangible improvements in care or quality of life
