A Research Agenda Driven by Patients – Sarcoma UK to Fund £2 Million This Year 💡

In this article, Sorrel reflects on Sarcoma UK’s journey to becoming a leading research funder, with £10 million invested since 2009 and an additional £2 million planned in 2025.

She shares how her own experience of losing her mother to sarcoma shaped her commitment to advocacy and research, and how patients and their families remain at the heart of every funding decision. From faster diagnoses to better treatments and fewer side effects, research continues to be the community’s top priority — and its greatest source of hope.
