🌟 Advocacy Recognition in Brazil

Wilker at the SPAGN Conference 2025 in Washington

We are proud to announce that our volunteer Wilker Jordi Lopes Franco (@sarcomunicandonos) has been nominated as a finalist in the Advocacy category at one of the largest oncology congresses in Brazil, Todos Juntos Contra o CΓ’ncer (All Together Against Cancer).

This nomination recognizes the impactful work carried out in 2024 through podcasts, TV interviews, and lectures, bringing sarcoma awareness to both healthcare professionals and patients. The winner will be announced on September 16, but this achievement already stands as a remarkable milestone in strengthening advocacy for sarcoma in Latin America.

πŸ’Š CHMP Opinion on Vimseltinib (Romvimza)

On 24 July 2025, the European Medicines Agency’s Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) adopted a positive opinion recommending approval of Romvimza (vimseltinib) for the treatment of adult patients with symptomatic tenosynovial giant cell tumour (TGCT).

This recommendation marks an important step forward in expanding treatment options for TGCT patients in Europe, particularly where surgery is no longer feasible or would carry significant risks.
