Dear SPAGN Members and Friends,

For Week 3 of Sarcoma Awareness Month 2025 (14–20 July), we focus on addressing the challenges that often lead to delayed diagnosis — and how, together, we can overcome them.

Breaking Barriers means equipping healthcare providers with the tools to recognize sarcoma earlier, while enabling advocates and patients to share these resources where they’re most needed.

All the best from the

SPAGN Board of Directors & Team
Key Resources and Insights This Week 🔍

This week’s materials include:

  • Quick-reference red-flag symptoms clinicians should never overlook

  • Survey data highlighting where diagnostic delays occur and the impact of early imaging

  • Resources to share with GPs, school nurses, and physical therapists

Every additional pair of informed eyes helps shorten the diagnostic journey.

🎗️ LMS Awareness Day: Share and Spotlight

We also mark Leiomyosarcoma (LMS) Awareness Day on 15th of July. Please help raise awareness by sharing key LMS symptoms and personal stories to spotlight this rare and often under-recognized subtype.

📦 All resources and content are available in the SAM 2025 Toolkit.

💡 Test Your Knowledge!

Would you know when to see a doctor? Take our 3-Question Quiz: When to see a doctor? to test your awareness and learn what signs shouldn’t be ignored. Share the quiz with your network and help more people recognize sarcoma early.

Let’s continue working together to ensure sarcoma is diagnosed promptly and accurately.
