In addition, if you are passionate about improving access to clinical trials, the EU-X-CT initiative is seeking feedback on its draft recommendations for cross-border clinical trials, and your input can help shape the final version!

The Foundation is the only charity in Northern Ireland and is dedicated to supporting sarcoma patients and their families by providing financial assistance, raising awareness, and funding vital research.

✈️ SPAGN Annual Conference – Travel Grant Deadline Extended!

SPAGN’s Annual Conference 2025 is set to take place from April 11–13, 2025, in Washington, D.C.—a key event that unites sarcoma patient advocates from around the world to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and drive meaningful change.

To ensure as many advocates as possible can attend, we have extended the deadline for travel grant applications! A limited number of grants are available only to full SPAGN Members to help cover travel costs, so don’t miss this opportunity.

The SPAGN Advocacy in Action Award 2025 and the Paola Gonzato Memory Award both recognize exceptional efforts in patient support, education, and advocacy. 

While the Advocacy in Action Award is open to any project, The Paola Gonzato Memory award sponsored by the Fondazione Paola Gonzato Rete Sarcoma ETS focuses on Bone Sarcomas.

📢 EU-X-CT Recommendations – Your Feedback Matters!
Clinical trials are essential in advancing sarcoma treatment, yet many patients face barriers to participating in trials across borders. The EU-X-CT initiative has developed draft recommendations aimed at improving safe and equitable access to cross-border clinical trials within Europe.

✅ Developed with input from over 100 experts across 32 countries
✅ Addresses key challenges in clinical trial management and access
✅ Now open for public consultation to incorporate all stakeholder perspectives

We invite you to review the draft and provide your feedback! Your insights will help shape the final recommendations and ensure that cross-border participation becomes a real option for all eligible patients.

Borders should no longer be barriers in clinical trials.
