About the SPAGN Annual Conference:

Since 2010, SPAEN/SPAGN has organized annual conferences to bring sarcoma, GIST and desmoid patient groups, experts, researchers and industry together. These conferences were held each year as onsite meetings with approx. 80-100 participants from over 25 countries including patient advocates, leading sarcoma experts and representatives of the pharma industry. The three-day conference focuses on research and treatment, advocacy and capacity building.

About New Horizons GIST: 

As many of have already experienced: New Horizons GIST is a great opportunity where patients from the Global GIST Patient Community come together. 

On behalf of the “NEW HORIZONS GIST Steering Committee”, SPAGN is very pleased to announce the 2023 NEW HORIZONS GIST Conference, which will be held as a separate meeting, but in conjunction with the SPAGN Annual Conference for the first time.

SPAGN Advocacy in Action Award 2022: Ready for Submissons

Patient advocacy ensures that people are heard, take action and ultimately improve situations, achieve changes or help to fulfil unmet medical needs. We would like to continue to shout out about how important patient advocacy in sarcomas is - for patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals or anyone interested in sarcomas. We want to celebrate and honor outstanding practices, projects, initiatives or campaigns and the creators working behind these activities.

We therefore invited you to participate in the
“SPAGN Advocacy in Action Award 2022”!

The winning projects/teams will receive

  • 1st                              2.000 €
  • 2nd                            1.500 €
  • 3rd                             1.000 €

A jury of patient advocates and healthcare professionals will assess the submissions and select the winners.

SPAGN @CTOS 2022 was a blast - take a look for yourself!

With CTOS and SPAGN, two globally active organizations are joining forces - CTOS is an international group of physicians and scientists whose primary interest is connective tissue tumors. SPAGN is the global network of sarcoma patient organizations.

At November 17, 2022 the Connective Tissue Oncology Society and the Sarcoma Patient Advocacy Global Network officially announced their collaboration at the CTOS 2022 meeting.

At CTOS 2022 in Vancouver, SPAGN hosted for the first time a Patient Advocacy Lounge and a SPAGN Patient Advocacy Reception. For more, watch our SPAGN @CTOS video here.
